Christy received her Bachelor of Science in Health Sciences and her Master of Science in Occupational Therapy from Grand Valley State University in Grand Rapids, Michigan.  She has experience working in a variety of settings, including inpatient rehabilitation for children and adults recovering from stroke, long-term care, and home modification.  However, Christy feels the most fulfilled when helping those with sensory processing issues.  For the past eight years, Christy has utilized occupational therapy and sensory integration therapy to support children with sensory processing issues and learning disabilities.

In addition to Christy’s advanced degree, she is dedicated to sharpening her skills and keeping current on the latest research and strategies.  She continues to expand her repertoire of skills via trainings, seminars, and conferences.  Here is sampling of the additional coursework Christy has attended:
